NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE IN GILBERT, AZ

Peptide Therapy in Gilbert, AZ

Peptides are messengers your body already makes. When yours stop doing their job, we start by listening, because you know your own body better than anyone. Then our licensed naturopathic doctors run the testing your case calls for and build the plan with you. Anything we prescribe follows a real exam and is filled by a licensed pharmacy, and federal rules decide which peptides a pharmacy can supply at any given time. In office in Gilbert, or by telemedicine nationwide.

Peptides

What Are Peptides?

Your body already makes peptides. Think of them as short messages that travel through your body and tell your cells what to do next, whether that is repairing tissue, releasing a hormone or settling inflammation. Peptide therapy uses lab-made versions of those same messages. The idea is simple. If a signal your body used to send is not coming through as strongly, a peptide can stand in for it. Age, stress, injury and illness can all turn a signal down.

Onyx is a naturopathic clinic, so a peptide is never the whole plan. Your doctor goes through your history with you and orders the testing your case calls for. Sometimes that points at a peptide. Sometimes it points somewhere else, and we will tell you that instead.

Looking for semaglutide or tirzepatide specifically? Those run through a program of their own here, with lab work and follow-up attached. Start with medical weight loss at Onyx.

BENEFITS

What Peptide Therapy May Support

Depending on the peptide and your specific situation, peptide therapy may help support these areas. You do not need all of them for it to be worth a conversation. Most people come in about two or three at once, and the overlap is usually the more useful thing to look at.

Healthy recovery after exercise or physical stress

Muscle strength and healthy body composition

Healthy energy and daily stamina

Better sleep quality and recovery

Healthy metabolism and blood sugar balance

Skin health and healthy aging

Healthy inflammatory response

Focus, mental clarity, and overall wellness

These are areas peptide therapy may support, not guaranteed outcomes. Results vary from person to person, and we will talk honestly with you about what is realistic for your goals.

OPTIONS

Peptides We May Use

These are the options your doctor may consider. Which ones fit depends on your history, your exam and what you came in about, and most plans use one or two rather than a stack.

  • Growth hormone support

    Sermorelin

This option supports your body’s own natural growth hormone release. It may help with energy, sleep, and body composition as natural levels decline with age.

  • Growth hormone support

    CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin

These two are often used together to support natural growth hormone release. This combination may also help support recovery and better sleep.

  • Growth hormone support

    Tesamorelin

This is another growth hormone-releasing option used in peptide therapy. It’s sometimes chosen specifically to support healthy body composition.

  • Tissue repair

    BPC-157

This peptide is commonly used to support your body’s natural tissue repair process. It’s often chosen specifically to support recovery from injury.

  • Tissue repair

    TB-500

This peptide is often used alongside BPC-157 to support recovery. Together, they may help support flexibility and healing after an injury.

  • Weight management

    Semaglutide

Onyx prescribes compounded semaglutide. It may help lower your appetite and how much you eat. Your doctor builds the wider weight plan around it and adjusts it as you go.

  • Weight management

    Tirzepatide

Onyx prescribes compounded tirzepatide. It works on more than one hormone pathway. It may support weight management alongside the rest of the plan your doctor builds with you.

  • Sexual health

    PT-141 (Bremelanotide)

This peptide is used to support healthy libido and sexual wellness as part of a plan your doctor builds with you.

  • Hormone balance

    Kisspeptin

This peptide is part of the signal that starts your body’s own reproductive hormones. It may be considered to support hormone balance with PCOS (also called PMOS). It can also be part of a fertility plan your doctor builds with you.

  • Skin and hair

    GHK-Cu (Copper Peptide)

This peptide may support your skin’s natural healing process and collagen production. It may also help support healthy hair growth over time.

  • Inflammation and immune

    KPV

This small peptide may help calm inflammation and an overactive immune response. It’s often considered for people dealing with histamine issues or mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS).

  • Cognitive and mood

    Selank and Semax

These two peptides may support focus, mood, and stress resilience. They’re often considered together for cognitive and emotional wellness goals.

  • Metabolic

    MOTS-c

This peptide may support cellular energy and metabolic health. It’s often considered for people focused on energy and metabolism goals.

Peptides are sold all over the internet by sellers with no pharmacy behind them. Quality and dosing vary widely. Onyx fills through a small number of licensed pharmacies we have vetted. Many peptides are not FDA approved. The rules about what a pharmacy may compound keep changing, so what we can supply moves. Your doctor will tell you what we can get right now, and why one option is being considered for you. Some are approved medicines used off-label. We will not promise something we cannot legally provide.

Told your labs were normal? That is exactly the visit we are built for.

YOUR PLAN

Your Peptide Therapy Plan

There is no standard peptide protocol here. Your plan is built around your goals, your health history, and what actually makes sense for your body.

  1. Evaluation

Your first visit is a 75-minute new patient consultation, and we start with a real conversation about your health history, your goals, and any relevant lab work. Arizona requires a real medical exam before we can prescribe.

  2. Peptide selection

Based on your evaluation, your doctor chooses which peptide or peptides may fit your goals, sourced only from licensed compounding pharmacies.

  3. Dosing

Your doctor sets your dose based on your body, your goals, and how you respond, not a one-size-fits-all amount.

  4. Monitoring

We check in as you go. We adjust your plan based on how you are actually doing, not just how it looks on paper.

Why Onyx

Why Gilbert and East Valley patients choose Onyx for peptide therapy

If you have already seen doctors and been told your labs are normal, you are the patient we see most often. You are not imagining it and you are not out of options. We start by listening, then we test more broadly, because the answer often sits in markers a standard panel does not cover. And if what you came in about turns out to be driven by something else, we will tell you that too.
  • Three licensed naturopathic doctors (NMD)In office in Gilbert, or by telemedicine nationwide.
  • A real exam before any prescriptionArizona requires it, and it is how we would work regardless.
  • Licensed pharmacies onlyNo research chemicals and nothing from an online reseller.
  • Follow-up built into the planRechecks and plan changes are part of the arrangement, not an add-on you have to ask for.
  • Peptides only when they fitIf a peptide is not the right option for you, your doctor will explain why and explore other approaches based on your goals, symptoms, and what your evaluation shows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Peptide Therapy

No. Insurance does not cover the medication. You pay for it out of pocket. Onyx bills you for both the visit and the medication, and we fill through a small number of pharmacies we have vetted. Lab work is often billable to your insurance even though your visits are not. That depends on your plan and your diagnosis codes. Many patients use HSA or FSA funds, and we can give you paperwork to submit to your insurer for out-of-network consideration.

Prescription peptides are legal when a licensed doctor prescribes them after a real exam and a licensed pharmacy dispenses them. Arizona requires that exam before we can prescribe. What is not legal to sell for human use is the research-chemical market, and that is where most peptides bought online come from. Federal rules on which peptides a pharmacy may compound are still changing, so what is available shifts over time.

You can, and we would rather you did not. Peptides sold online are usually labeled for research use only. That means nobody has verified what is in the vial, how much of it is there, or whether it is sterile. There is also nobody reading your history, checking your other medications, or following up with you. That supervision is most of what you are paying a clinic for.

Peptide therapy is considered appropriate for many patients when a licensed clinician prescribes and monitors it. Whether it suits you depends on your health history, your medications and your risk factors, and that assessment is part of your first visit. Most therapeutic peptides are compounded, which means they are not FDA-approved finished products, and your doctor will say so when it applies to your plan. Side effects, what to watch for and when to call are covered at your first visit and at every follow-up.

Most therapeutic peptides go in as a small injection under the skin. Patients do this at home after we show them how. Some peptides come as capsules, nasal sprays or topical preparations. Which form suits you depends on the peptide your doctor recommends and on what fits your routine, and you decide that together.

The medications people usually mean here are semaglutide and tirzepatide, which are GLP-1 medications rather than the peptides on this page. Those have their own program at Onyx, with lab work, a doctor and follow-up attached. Start with medical weight loss.

Some patients notice a difference in the first 4 to 12 weeks and others take longer. It depends on what you came in about, what else is going on underneath, and how much of your plan is the peptide. We schedule follow-up so we are tracking your response rather than guessing at it.

A naturopathic doctor, a functional medicine physician or another licensed prescriber can evaluate you for peptide therapy. At Onyx you see a licensed naturopathic doctor (NMD). They are trained to look at how your systems interact and they spend far longer with you than a standard primary care visit allows. Your primary care doctor is often working inside fifteen minutes and a panel your insurance will authorize. We order broader testing, go through it with you, and treat the whole picture rather than one symptom at a time.

Onyx sees patients by telemedicine nationwide and your first visit can happen that way. Coming in and meeting virtually carry the same wait, because no appointment slots are held back for virtual visits. Whether a peptide can be prescribed and shipped to you depends on where you live and on current pharmacy rules. Ask us at your visit and you will get a straight answer.

This page is general information about peptide therapy. It is not medical advice and not full prescribing information. Whether any option here is appropriate for you is a decision you and a licensed clinician make together, after an exam.
