How We Provide Care

Our doctors stay fully focused on the patient they are with. Onyx operates as a high-quality medical clinic, not a concierge or unlimited-access practice. This ensures every patient receives thoughtful, individualized care.

  • Medical questions, treatment changes, and in-depth updates are best handled during a scheduled appointment.
  • Appointments allow your doctor to review your history, labs, and treatment plan without rushed decision-making.

Communication Guidelines
  • Response Time: Please allow up to 48 business hours for email or text replies.
  • Complex Questions: If a message requires medical decision-making, we will ask you to schedule a visit.
  • Emergencies: Call 911 or visit urgent care. Do not text or email, as we are not an emergency clinic.

Appointments & Cancellations
  • Cancellation Policy: Cancelling within 48 business hours results in a cancellation fee. Telemedicine is available if needed.
  • Late Arrivals: Arriving more than 10 minutes late may require rescheduling and may result in a fee.
  • No-Shows: Missed appointments without notice incur a fee with no exceptions.

Prescriptions & Refills
  • New Prescriptions: Require an appointment to ensure safe, appropriate care.
  • Standard Refills: Allow up to 72 business hours. Active patient status and current labs may be required.
  • Semaglutide & Tirzepatide: Refills require a follow-up appointment. Please allow up to 10 business days for processing.

Labs, Results & Insurance
  • Lab Reviews: All results are reviewed during follow-up appointments for accuracy and clarity.
  • Lab Scheduling: Orders are uploaded to your portal. Please schedule directly with your chosen lab.
  • Turnaround Time: Most results take up to 10 days.
  • Insurance Coverage: We recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm coverage before testing.

Tip: Low-cost self-pay lab options are available.

Forms, Letters & Documentation

We can assist with FMLA, school or work accommodation letters, and other documentation.

  • Form Fee: Starts at $25 depending on complexity.
  • Turnaround: Up to 72 business hours. Rush options may be available for an additional fee.
  • Some forms require an appointment to complete accurately.

Supplements & Product Quality

For safety and potency, we recommend purchasing supplements directly from Onyx or our Fullscript dispensary.

  • Ensures verified quality and proper storage.
  • Protects against counterfeit or expired products found online.

Follow-Ups & Ongoing Care
  • Follow-ups are typically recommended every 1–6 months for optimal care.
  • If it has been over 2 years since your last appointment, a new patient or extended visit is required.
